Working Day

As a average citizen who suffers from type 1 diabetes I can break up the results of my 10 hour work day thusly: (I wont reveal my tax bracket but by attentive research you can guess - This is based on 2007 spending as reported by both the federal and CA state governments.):

48m 13s - keeping our military personnel maimed by roadside bombs or defending such vulnerable US interests like Germany, Japan and Antarctica; (Defense)

37m 12s - paying inflation on loans from a system that should have (if not completely destroyed) been left to compound interest until withdrawn by those who deposited it 30 years ago.); (Social Security)

16m 48s - paying off the interest of the current wars (Iraq,Afghan,drugs,terror.)

14m 37s - supporting people who can't or possibly don't want to work from non-health related issues. (welfare / food stamps)

7m 24s - getting people who don't deserve your job to take your job. (education and workforce social programs)

6m 33s - supporting federal "law enforcement", weneed to keep them going after non violent marijuana offenders!! (courts / DEA / ATF / DHS)

5m 53s - supporting those military personnel who WERE maimed by roadside bombs for the rest of their PTSD syndromed lives; (Veteran affairs)

5m 35s - paying for elders over 65 or disableds already collecting SS and RRR, who cant support themselves in the current runaway inflation state; (Medicare)

4m 36s - supporting the EPA and the UAE's national oil conglomerate (environment and energy)

2m 31s - subsidizing corporate farms and shipping companies (Aggr. Comm. & Transport)

1m 41s - donating food to the military regimes around the world to help them keep up their energy while torturing their citizenry. (Int'l affairs)

14m 24s - teaching kids how to gang-bang, knife fight, and get pregnant at 14 (CA K-12 ed)

10m 26s - letting illegal immigrants get medical care in CA, while tax paying citizens get charged $800,000 to save their lives. Here I also subsidize the abortion costs for some girls I didn't have sex with. (CA Health & Human services)

On the plus side, if I do get critically injured I can claim about $70 of the thousands I've put in to assist my certainly to be astronomical medical expenses. (CA SDI/SUI)

4m 13s - subsidizing kid's college costs, since their parents were too stupid to save and they are too stupid to ever get a job well paid enough to pay off a full loan. (CA Higher ed.)

3m 27s - teaching ex cons how to make a license plate WITHOUT shiving their coworkers (CA corrections & rehabilitation.)

1m 22s - keeping those DA's who want to prosecute 6 year olds and the dead grandmas who downloaded that mp3 illegally in court, keeping the life term judge who heard the case on the bench, keeping the representatives who made those laws fat and happy, and keeping Ahnold in the governors mansion while signing that bill. (CA judicial, executive, legislative)

35s - keeping the burned down forest lands full of flammable scrub brush. (CA resources)

32s - putting that guy with the grocery cart up for the night in a place he has to be bussed to and from. Supposedly this time helps small business owners too, but I cant find out how since that info can only be shared with the homeless or illegal immigrants and not small business owners. (CA business, trans, and housing)

32s - keeping 'Ol' Dusty' the Janitor at the state house in a job. Also keeping you from being killed by rogue earthquakes. (CA gen gov.)

13s - making sure CA GETS your CA taxes. Also helping to sue small business owners that don't have handicapped parking spots. (CA State & Consumer)

2s - ensuring you don't get into a mortgage you cant afford, and that the guy next door to you does. (CA Labor & Workforce Dev.)

1h 6m 36s - Getting to work so I can pay for all the above programs. [I better start riding the bike.] (Auto payments + gas + maintenance + insurance)

36m - Keeping myself alive to deal with all this aforementioned BS. (Medical)

31m 12s - Having a dream of a future I MAY live to see if the dream pays off. (non-401k Investments)

23m 24s - Paying off my credit card debt & interest. (not as high as the governments obviously.)

17m 24s - Making that place I have worth going to at night. Also keeping me 'on call' for work. (utilities + phone + cable)

7m 50s - Teaching myself that none of this is worth it, and the government should be taking care of everything I do. (Higher Education)

Time spent working to stay alive and productive = 5 hours, 27 minutes, 33 seconds

Time spent working to enjoy the time I'm not working (30 minutes a day after school, 4 hours on weekends) = 1 hour, 4 minutes, 36 seconds
